The opposite of inspiration...
We did a Rather Useful Seminar today on XNA and creating game assets. Simon did some presentations on asset creation and repositories and I shows off some XNA development stuff. These are the links that Simon mentioned:
- Code based animation http://demina.codeplex.com/releases/view/63272
- drawing packages http://www.gimp.org/, http://www.getpaint.net/
- vector graphics and animation using a “skeleton” http://www.synfig.org/cms/
- SVN stuff http://intra.net.dcs.hull.ac.uk/systems/help/Help%20documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2fsystems%2fhelp%2fHelp%20documents%2fSVN&FolderCTID=&View=%7b036FDECB-62E5-4844-B7E3-1D1D030385C2%7d
Note that the SVN notes are only available via the campus SharePoint site. I did some demonstrations with the amazing “Bread and Cheese” game. You can find the code for this here.
