Windows Phone App Studio Screencasts

I’ve done a little screencast about getting started with Windows Phone App Studio. It covers making and deploying your first application, and actually shows you to build something that is useful. I’ll record a few more over the next week or so. You can find the screencast here.

Just got back from a 2 week visit to see my dad (we live on separate continents so it's a once a year thing). Before I went I pointed my 13 year old son at this series of webcasts and while I was at my dad's he started working through them.

We kept in touch via Skype chat which we just left open. Before he went off to lunch or something, rather than set himself away he'd just write "Off to lunch" or whatever and "Back" when he came back.

Then the scary moment arrived when I realised he'd fully imbibed the Miles cool-aid and he started signing on with "And I'm back".

Now I'm back and another scary moment as he asked me for help with his VBScript and I realise I will now have to watch them all to find out if you can use VBScript in these apps.
