Thought for the Dazed

I've had to give up that Distance Learning course as I was having trouble seeing the teacher.

Windows 7 God Mode

The internets are alive at the moment with discussion of the newly discovered ‘God Mode” for Windows 7. To take part in the fun, create a folder with the name:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

The folder magically becomes a “one stop shop” for all the Windows 7 control panels. I don’t think it lets you do anything you couldn’t do before, but it does put lots of useful things in one place.

Doesn't have to be GodMode the foldername is everything before the dot.

You should also make a note that trying to do this on a 64 bit version of Windows will break the installation in a potentially fairly hard-to-fix way.

I did it on Win7-64 and it worked fine without breakage.

Thanks for the info. My understanding was that 64 bit versions of Vista don't always work, but that Windows 7 was OK. I should have said as much.
