Thought for the Dazed

I've had to give up that Distance Learning course as I was having trouble seeing the teacher.

Aged in the Wood

Went out to a DIY centre today to buy some correctly sized bath plugs, among other things. They had a big sign outside saying “Selected Cuprinol at special prices”. I can just imagine the salesman.

“A cheeky little little number with a smooth flavour and a lovely finish..”

Speaking of stores. I thought of you today. Sales person said "If you need any help my name is Heidi" She didn't say what her name was if we didn't need help. Seemed like the sort of thing you might wonder about to.

In my experience, if you need any help you can't actually find anyone, and so their name at that point is immaterial....

This is one of your more interesting posts. What makes it so is I have no idea what a DIY centre is, or a bath plug or Cuprinol. I never imagined there would be such a language barrier involved when I started reading your blogs!

OK:

Bath plug: think you put in the plug-hole of a bath so that you can fill said bath and bathe in it. Best if purchased in the correct size.

DIY center: Emporium for those happy to engage in "Do It Yourself" activities, usually on Bank Holidays (days in the UK when the banks are shut and we can have a day off). People go and buy tools, raw materials and then try and build things with them. As a result hospital emergency room admissions figures go way up on Bank Holidays.

Cuprinol: Wood preservative (like Creosote) used to stain wood and stop it rotting.
