Lost Odyssey

If you are after an engrossing and beautiful RPG for your Xbox 360 you should get Lost Odyssey. It comes on four DVDs (there is only just room in the box) and it looks amazing. The characterisation and dialogue is also excellent. I'm not much good at these things but number one son (who takes this things very seriously) is. And he likes it.

I should buy it in future I guess...I does look very nice and the soundtrack is to die for, but the turn based nature seems, a little lazy although definitive by the team which brought you Final Fantasy...

lost odyssey is fantastic. Best turn based rpg.since FF VII. Maybe even better!

Even if RPG's aren't your bag, I would recommend reading the Thousand years of Dreams series; a nice collection of well written short stories with a bit of added ambiance courtesy of the wonderfully composed soundtrack.

Also, I wouldn't call the "turn based nature" lazy...It's just another style of video game that apparently still has a degree of appeal to people such as I.
