Thought for the Dazed

I've had to give up that Distance Learning course as I was having trouble seeing the teacher.

Hello From Lisbon

After a very smooth trip last night I'm now in Lisbon at TechDays 08. I came along last year, to the sensibly name TechDays 07 and had such fun that I've come back again and to do two sessions. I've just finished the XNA one and it seemed to OK from my point of view (although I'm worried that I might not have mentioned the book enough....)

Where I'm speaking (they have lovely weather here)

As is usual for Portugal, I had a fantastic audience.

After I told my first joke (the people at the back are sound technicians who are paid to be there....)

I had a great time promoting the book and VerySillyGames. I've got another session this afternoon. Wish me (and the audience) luck.

Hello Rob,

Great presentations!!!! I've assisted both and really enjoyed! I’ve tried XNA 1.0 but have 2.0 in queue, your presentation just made me want to try it. About .NET Micro Framework presentation, it looked so simple compared to that ugly C for 80x51 i've done in the past...

Just thinking I was about to trade your presentation for another one entitled "CMMI and Team System".

Thank you so much,
pn

Hi
I too liked the XNA presentation, it actually made me try it out, which I'm doing right now. I must say I'm not really a big Microsoft supporter and it hurts me to see that, again, I can't use the software I produce in my Linux machine.

I'm afraid I could be at the second presentation, .net micro is not my thing :), but considering the one about XNA, I believe everything worked alright for both you and the audience.

About the book, well if I end up liking this XNA too much I think I'll have to buy it, but you could have mention it more, I believe the all 60 times were not enough ;)

Best regards,

Hello Rob!
At the end of the presentation, I talked to you about a panoramic photograph that i made with your photos (on some past event) and sent you by email (but you didn't receive it). So, i'll just do it for Techdays!
You can grab the photo here:
(please copy paste the link on a new tab due to hot linking protection)

Now you get the whole audience in just one photo. See you on your next trip to Portugal!

Hi Rob,

As is usual your talk was great. I'm a XNA evangelists and you gave me lots of hints to improve my work.

You are allways welcome here in Portugal, I hope that will be soon.
