Trip to Black Marble

On Wednesday the 22nd of October I'm taking a bus down to Black Marble to attend one of their developer events. If you are interested in game development, or just want to see what happens at a professional event, you can find out more here.

Never mind. There will be other trips.

I asked about trips round games studios. The response was a hollow laugh followed by a comment:

"Of course they want nothing better than a bunch of students to turn up and view their closely guarded secret developments....."

Oh well. However, most companies are happy to send people to talk to us, and so when they do that I'll make sure that they give some talks....

It makes sense, why would they reveal a secret project 6 months before release when its not even been shown to anyone else.

Talks sound like a great idea, along with other trips too. Here's hoping I can make it to some of those in future.

I would have loved to go to this but I am supposed to be driving the Go-Karting society to Pontefract for a race. Maybe next time :)
