Thought for the Dazed

I've had to give up that Distance Learning course as I was having trouble seeing the teacher.

Scary and Real

I've just found a web site that is truly scary:

http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/11849.aspx

In celebration of this I've added another chapter to the preview directory: http://www.robmiles.com/xna-book-downloads/.

Let me know what you think. Someone, please....

Just in time for Christmas! Gonna go add it to my wish list now.

Just something I have noted from reading the first preview chapter and the MS press summary.

Chapter 1 seems to be based on Visual Studio/C# 2005, whereas the MS summary reads 2008. I would suspect the book would have more relevance if it were based on 2008 (if it hasn't been updated already) considering that the 2008 realease is not too far off.

I'm going to have to investigate this. My information is that XNA will not be available for VS 2008, at least at the initial launch. I'm going to have to revisit Chapter 1 anyway because it needs to be XNA 2.0 compliant and if it works with VS 2008 the content will be adjusted to fit. The text that I've written for the later chapters is, as far as I can do it, independent of the XNA and VS versions that will be out there.
