Thought for the Dazed

I've had to give up that Distance Learning course as I was having trouble seeing the teacher.

Broken Illusions

I was talking to someone today who reckoned that I might have a fault on my blog server. "You know" he said, "There are no updates for ages then a whole bunch appear. Either there is a problem with your hosting or you just wait a while and then put up a load of posts all at once."

Indeed.

I've actually noticed the same thing... yesterday i could only see up to "interesting video" and then now there's 3 new posts to read =o

I used to blog in a place where you couldn't blog retrospectively (i.e. timestamp blog posts with the past). I found this very restrictive. I like to think I have a post for every day, but I don't always feel in a position to post on the day itself.

I did worry about this in that if a blog is meant to be contemporary it should be properly so, and that if the medium is to have any true meaning it should be of the moment, rather than a potentially fictional description of events which might not be chronologically accurate. It concerned me that I might be presenting an illusual sense of continuity to my readers, who might be drawn into a reality which is not correct.

Then I remembered just how much you pay to read this stuff.....
